When a pet is referred for surgery, trust and responsibility are shared between the owner, our team, and you, the referring vet. Our goal is to provide expert care while ensuring both pet and owner feels informed and reassured.
Before surgery, we carry out a thorough preoperative consultation, reviewing medical history, performing an examination, and discussing treatment options, anaesthesia protocols, and pain management.
Once admitted, we conduct another assessment and use the safest anaesthetic agents, with continuous monitoring throughout the procedure. Our surgical team follows strict aseptic techniques, utilising advanced methods, such as minimally invasive surgery, where appropriate.
After surgery, pets recover under close supervision, with multimodal pain management tailored to their needs. We prioritise clear communication, providing detailed discharge instructions, follow-up care and ongoing support. A comprehensive referral report is sent to you, ensuring continuity of care.
