Julie completed her residency in small animal cardiology in Liverpool which she completed in 2018 before Julie received her veterinary degree, also from the University of Liverpool. Staying in Liverpool, she worked in companion animal practice before returning to the University to undertake a small animal rotating internship from 2013-14.
In 2018 Julie completed her residency in small animal cardiology and remained at the University as a lecturer in cardiology. During that time Julie completed the RCVS certificate of advanced veterinary practice in small animal medicine. Julie achieved specialist status in 2021. As the only EBVS® and RCVS specialist offering the only full-time specialist-led medical and interventional service in Ireland, Julie remains committed to providing up to date complex and life-saving cardiac interventions to small animals all over the country. She is also a visiting lecturer in cardiology to University College Dublin and a module coordinator for the University of Liverpool’s Postgraduate Unit.
