Joanna graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2011 before working in a small animal charity hospital for 15 months. She then completed a rotating internship and subsequently returned to small animal practice for 3 years. Joanna undertook a combined internship and ECVS surgical residency at the University of Edinburgh in 2016. Since completing the residency and becoming a diplomat of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons and RCVS recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery, Joanna has worked as a soft tissue surgeon in several large multi-disciplinary referral hospitals. She enjoys all aspects of soft tissue surgery, with particular interests in thoracic, upper airway and oncological surgery.
